Non Retaliation Policy

Speaking Up is essential for us to sustain our reputation, success and ability to operate – both now and in the future. You will not have any consequence for raising concerns in good faith about suspected misconduct.

Retaliation against any employee who in good faith reports a concern to the company about illegal or unethical conduct will not be tolerated and be subject to disciplinary action. The same applies to any intentional abuse of these reporting processes.

The Non-Retaliation policy was established to encourage Helsinn or Third Party personnel to report compliance concerns through their chain of line manager, the Compliance Office, or through the Compline. This policy facilitates a working environment that promotes ongoing and open communication among management and employees for all issues without fear of Retaliation.

Any incident where Retaliation can be related to any person reporting a Compliance Issue will not be tolerated. Allegations of Retaliation made in good faith will be thoroughly and expeditiously investigated, with appropriate disciplinary actions taken against anyone who violates the Non-Retaliation policy.

Confidentiality

All reporting is done confidentially. This means that information about your concern will only be shared with a limited number of people on a strict need-to-know basis. Information will only be disclosed outside this small group if we are required to do so by law or an important public interest is at stake. In principle, we are obliged to inform the implicated person that a complaint has been filed against him/her, but your identity will not be disclosed.
