Since its first product – nimesulide – was marketed in 1985, Helsinn has not only focused on scouting innovative products but also on creating a network of reliable partners, selected time after time according to their deep in-market knowledge and know-how, for the out-licensing and the distribution and sale of each of its products. In other words, Helsinn products are marketed worldwide through a tailor-made commercial network.
The Helsinn Group provides its partners ready-to-market finished dosage forms and a complete package of services in support of either the product or of the partners’ commercial activities. Helsinn assists its partners for the success of their mission throughout the product “Life Cycle” with continuous scientific development, commercial, regulatory, financial, legal and medical marketing advice and market access.
Support is guaranteed by a constant scientific update through the conduction of clinical studies, active participation to key congresses, stand-alone symposia, publication strategies. The emerging evidence is then translated into commercial tools that are shared with world-wide partners by means of regular marketing meetings, webinars and a variety of initiatives aimed at creating a strong sense of belonging across the international product’s alliance. Helsinn encourages the cross-seeding of experiences and initiatives among the different partners.
Specific supporting activities are also carried out on an individual country-and-partner tailored basis, to comply with the different particular needs: dedicated training sessions, sponsoring of local lectures or congress activities, consultancy in the preparation of publications, educational events targeted at the healthcare community.
Following the 2009 establishment of Helsinn Therapeutics (U.S.) Inc., located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, helsinn will be in a position to perate directly in the US market as 2013 with a direct sales structure.
