Along with Helsinn Advanced Synthesis S.A., Biasca, Switzerland, Helsinn Birex Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Mulhuddart, Dublin, founded in 1990, represents Helsinn’s Manufacturing Operations today.

All Helsinn manufacturing plants are approved by the Swiss and Irish authorities and by the US FDA, EMA, PIC and Japanese PMDA as well as by several other national boards.

The Irish plant also won the award of the Irish Responsible Care program.

In 2009 the Helsinn Group invested over EUR 13 million, with the support of the Irish Development Authority (IDA), and built a Centre-of-Excellence for oral solid dosage forms annd the Stability centre focused on developing group products of the future.

In 2011, further investments were made to increase the analytical testing capacity on the site. Helsinn has invested substantially in dedicated capacity at the sites of its strategic contract manufacturing partners to guarantee all elements of the supply chain for development and commercial products.
